What mixPrimer does

mixPrimer turns a raw multitrack recording — or a single live take — into clean, mix-ready stems. It identifies each instrument automatically (no manual labeling), detects the tempo and musical key, and treats every track into per-instrument stems and grouped family buses (drums, bass, guitars, keys, vocals, and more). You preview the result in a built-in mixer, then export the stems to finish the mix in your own DAW. It prepares your mix — it doesn't mix for you.

Getting started

  1. Import your tracks: an archive (ZIP, 7z, RAR, or TAR) of separate instrument tracks in Studio mode, or a single stereo take in Live mode.
  2. mixPrimer analyzes everything on-device — identifying instruments and detecting BPM and key.
  3. Review the detected instruments and confirm (or correct) them.
  4. It generates the treated stems and family buses, all on your device.
  5. Preview in the mixer, then export the stems to mix in your DAW.

Troubleshooting

Privacy Policy

Your music never leaves your device

No data collected

mixPrimer is built to be completely private. It processes your audio locally and collects nothing about you or your files.

In short: mixPrimer has no account, no network access, no analytics, and no third-party tracking. Your recordings and stems stay on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. mixPrimer does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. There is no sign-up, no login, and no user profile.

Your audio

The tracks you import and the stems mixPrimer produces are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded anywhere. Imported files are copied into the app's own storage so it can work with them; output stems are written only where you choose to export. mixPrimer works with no internet connection.

Analytics & tracking

mixPrimer contains no analytics, no advertising, no crash-tracking SDKs, and no third-party trackers. It does not fingerprint your device or monitor your usage. Its privacy manifests declare no tracking and no data collection.

Network

mixPrimer does not connect to the internet. The audio engine (FFmpeg, linked in and run on-device) processes everything locally; nothing is sent to a server.

Exporting & sharing

When you export on a phone or tablet, mixPrimer can hand the finished stems to your operating system's share sheet so you can save them to Files or send them to another app (for example a cloud drive). That transfer is your choice and is handled by the other app under its own privacy policy — mixPrimer itself never uploads anything. On a Mac, exported stems are simply written to the folder you pick.

Diagnostics you choose to send

mixPrimer keeps a small on-device log to help diagnose problems. It is never sent anywhere on its own. If you use "Share diagnostics," or email us for support, only what you explicitly choose to include is shared, and it's used only to help you.

Children's privacy

mixPrimer collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
